Lindsey has been teaching Hatha Yoga practices since 2006 and, prior to teaching Yoga full time (from 2015) and becoming a Yoga Tutor with Yoga Scotland (in 2018), Lindsey spent over 20 years working in the Financial Services Industry in Project Management delivering global change projects.
Lindsey is a community activist and enjoys fusing yoga styles and learnings including; Curvy Yoga, Kids Yoga, Chair and movement base Yoga, Special Yoga & Mindfulness and Yin. She has experience of sharing yoga to large audiences at National conferences such as Autism and Dementia as well as smaller groups including dementia patients, deaf & blind groups and on a 1:1 basis.
Lindsey is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga for all minds and bodies. In 2018 she lead a Scottish Parliamentary Reception talking to politicians about the benefits yoga can bring to mental health and wellbeing. She is a signatory of the Mental Health Charter for Physical Activity & Sport and champions the yoga community to participate to help break down barriers for people with mental health challenges to participate in activity such as yoga.
Lindsey is a published author with her debut book ‘Whirlpools, yoga and the balance of life’. She also writes wellbeing-based articles and has been published in the Huffington Post, Psychologies, and OM Yoga magazines. She is the co-founder of the nominated international podcast series Voices of Yoga (voicesofyoga.com).
Lindsey is leading the Yoga Scotland Foundation course 2021-2022 that will be run at In the Moment.
