Brenda has practiced mindfulness since 2013 and is passionate about sharing the nourishing work of mindfulness, helping people access and cultivate our natural capacity to care for ourselves.

Brenda worked in the NHS as a Dietitian for 17 years in a variety of settings.  She completed training as a teacher of mindfulness-based approaches with Mindfulness Scotland in 2015 and currently serves on the Board of this Scottish charity.  In the same year she also completed training in Belgium to teach an 8 week mindfulness course entitled Mindful Eating Conscious Living (with Jan Chosen Bays MD and Char Wilkins MSW).  She currently teaches both these programmes in the Glasgow area and has worked with NHS staff, the general public and university students.

Brenda adheres to the UK Good Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness-Based Teachers and is committed to an active programme of continuous professional development.  She receives mindfulness-based supervision from Bangor University in Wales and from the Mindful Eating Conscious Living team in the US.  Brenda graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BSc (Hons) Nutrition and Dietetics with First Class Honours.  She is member of the British Dietetic Association and the Freelance Dietitians Group of the BDA.  She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
