Alison McGillivray:  Feldenkrais Method® Practioner.  My background is in music: I play the cello and viola da gamba.  I became interested in the Feldenkrais Method about 10 years ago, and qualified as a practitioner in 2013.  The Feldenkrais Method has helped me enormously as a musician: playing is more comfortable, my stamina is better, and performing is easier.  I also notice a difference with my creativity.  It has also helped me find more ease and relaxation in my everyday life.

I’ve been teaching groups since 2011 and one-to-one sessions since 2013.  People from all walks of life find their way to the Feldenkrais Method: whether recovering from injuries, wanting to ease chronic conditions, or simply looking to move more pleasurably, it’s accessible to everyone.

The group classes are a great way of to widening your range of possiblities whilst remaining in control of your movement and comfort.  One to one sessions can be useful for focussing on specific issues.  Many people use a combination of the two.

I am a member of the Feldenkrais Guild UK, and am a fully qualified and insured practitioner.
