I’ve been practicing traditional hatha yoga for over 25 years and Shiatsu therapy for over 10 years.  I recently qualified as a Seasonal Yoga teacher which harmonisies these two practices.  Seasonal yoga is basically traditional yoga tailored to suit the time of year according to Traditional Chinese Medicine 5 elements.  It also encompasses energy work as in Qi Gong and Doa In (self shiatsu) so, for me, a good all rounder!  I have a strong interest in working with the breath (pranayama), since experiencing firsthand the positive impact it can have on a person’s health and well being: having had asthma since childhood I managed to reduce, then come off all medicine by just doing breathing exercises.

So my teaching style focuses on the breath to help with the flow of energy both to strengthen and energise the body while at the same time calming the mind.  Less is more so you can expect a nice calm but strong practice balanced between asanas, pranayama and meditation, not to mention the all important yoga nidra which is something else entirely!
