Ichabod Smith works as an interactive death dummy to train people for some of the common complexities of death and dying care.  Designed and built by Angie McLachlan from Red Plait Interpretation, Ichabod is a unique ‘person’.  With interactive bodily functions, he can be personally tailored and encompasses many characteristics of a real person.  Ichabod has worked with death doulas, funeral directors, hospices and individuals.

Angie, has worked with and around death for the last 24 years and holds an informed and unique perspective on mortality and death.  She is a french polisher by trade and an embalmer by profession.  Angie has undertaken most of the practical tasks relating to funerals and has personally looked after many friends and family members after they have died.
